How long have you been trading ?
Paul Stride have been established since 1982 trading from retail premises on the outskirts of York and on the internet since 2004.
Can I just purchase goods online with yourselves?
No, a wider range of goods is available instore, if you live locally please call in and we will try to help. Our opening times are 9am - 5pm Monday to Saturday. (Closing on public and bank holidays)
Are prices the same instore as online?
The vast majority of prices are the same, however there maybe times when prices differ due to promotions etc. either online or instore.
Are you open on Sundays?
No, I'm sorry but we choose to have a day with our children on a Sunday.
When will I receive any goods purchased on-line?
Paul Stride will confirm your transaction via automated email after you have successfully placed your order. If the goods cannot be despatched so that you receive the goods within 7- 10 days you will be notified of the new delivery date. In most cases delivery is within 4 working days of placing the order.
When I receive my goods what do I need to know?
Please ensure you check the quantity and condition of parcels that you are signing for and report any problems to us within 7 working days. Please ensure someone will be at the delivery address to acept your order as our carriers will only leave goods with a signature. If you are not at the address to accept the order Fastway Carriers/ Royal Mail will usually return the next working day, after this you will be required to collect your order from your local depot. Clear details of this will be explained on the "Sorry we missed you" card that will be left by your driver. Please contact the company asap to avoid the goods being returned to us as " customer away". Please note if the goods are returned to us you will be liable for the extra delivery costs incurred. Please also examine the boxes on arrival and sign for any damages with the driver, transit damage cannot be claimed for if signed for as in good condition. Please note signing as uninspected is deemed by carriers to accepting in good condition.
Is your on-line system "Secure"?
When you register details with us, make an order or access account details, we use a secure server. Any data you give us is encrypted using a 'Secure Socket Layer' (SSL) session. SSL is an industry standard and is one of the best ways to ensure Internet messages are not intercepted. When using a secure connection a small padlock will be displayed in the bottom right hand corner of your browser. Please look for the padlock when you are transferring any of your personal details over the internet. All of our transactions are collated by Sagepay (formely known as Protx) with Lloyds Bank Cardnet who are market leaders in secure online payment systems.
How can I pay for goods?
Our Online store accepts all the major credit cards. Please note Visa Electron cannot be used online as it only allows "customer present" transactions.
How long is your product warranty?
We offer a minimum of six months manufacturers warranty with all products. Please note all warranties are against manufacturing defects, product abuse or accidental damage is not covered by a manufacturers guarantee or warranty. Some manufacturers offer an extended warranty free of charge if the product is registered online within a short time scale. Customers are advised to read the product handbook for further details.
Can you organise repairs and spare parts for my baby goods?
Yes we hold some spares instock and others can be ordered from the relevant manufacturers, we can also repair pushchairs inhouse or organise repairs with the manufacturers. We are an authorised Maclaren repair agent for both pushchairs purchased from us and from elsewhere. Please contact us for details if you require assistance.
What are the points I can collect with online purchases?
So long as you register online then every purchase made on your account collects points. These points can be used for payment of goods on subsequent purchases. For every 100 points collected £1 is deducted from your purchase at the checkout. |
