The First Class plus is a rearward facing car seat from birth to 13kg then turns round forward facing until 18kg. The seat comes with a padded insert for use from birth till 5.5kg , this is then removed to leave a deeper seat for an older baby. This seat is especially useful for a larger baby who has outgrown an infant carrier but is not old enough or developed enough to go forward facing.
It fits into the car using the car seat belts and once forward facing has 2 ways (routings) that can be used for fitting thus increasing the number of cars that it fits correctly. This facility is especially useful for cars with long buckles that suffer from "buckle crunch" with other models of car seat. The seat can be reclined into one of five positions when forward facing and has padded wings for improved side impact protection. This seat features plenty of side impact protection with its deep padded wings. There is also plenty of chest padding as well to compliment the rest of the seat.
This Britax seat faces both ways dependant on your childs development. This cost effective solution grows with your child during its early development. It has 5 reclines (when in forward facing mode), and a newborn insert can be added to make a more natural sleeping position (when rearward facing).
The 2012 model features the Click & Safe harness which indicates that the seat belts have been tensioned correctly when placing and securing your child in their car seat.
