The new Airprotect technology isembedded in the head area and it involves the accurate release of air through the encapsulated foam device to protect children during a lateral impact. This new type of technology has significantly improved side impact crash test results. Soft to the touch, the AirProtect design feels soft to the touch for every day use by the child.
The AirProtect idea is simple...to protect your child by absorbing and reduction in the amount of impact force which is to be transferred to your child's head which is the most vulnerable area in a collision.
Designed as a Group 2-3 car seat it is for use between the weights of 15-36kgs, or approximately 3.5 to 12 years of age. This Maxi Cosi Rodi uses a unique AirProtect technology to provide an additional protection layer in the event of a side collision, for example if the head of the child makes contact with the head support panel then it is protected via the precise and governed release of air from the cushion which helps to absorb some of the forces of the collision as well as providing additional comfort to the child.
The styling of the Maxi Cosi Rodi has been considered to give optimal side crash protection for your child but at the same time can also offer a relaxed reclining position for bigger or smaller children, and furthermore the backrest compliments this as it grows in both width and depth in line with your child. To adjust the recline is easy from the front of the seat and naturally being a relatively lightweight car seat makes transferring between vehicles easy. There is an anchorage point in the headrest and the lumbar support, just like the headrest, is very easy to adjust.
