Introducing the Stokke® iZi Sleep™ Car seat...the perfect addition to your 2010 Stokke® Xplory™ pushchair, converting it into a practical travel system.

The Stokke® iZi Sleep™ features an extendable hood, in the new 2010 Stokke® Xplory™ colours to really match your pushchair perfectly. The Stokke® iZi Sleep™ has the ability to recline from a seated position to a lie-flat position which is crucial for the first few months for newborns. The idea behind the reclined position is to avoid a newborn (upto about 3 or 4 months) sitting for longer than 1.5 hours as a maximum, this is due to the weight of the baby's head putting pressure on the spine.

When the Stokke® iZi Sleep™ is used in the car, it needs to be set in the upright position  for safety reasons, but when the Stokke® iZi Sleep™ is being used as a travel system, or at home, then the car seat can be in the downwards position.

This Group 0+ Stokke® iZi Sleep™ meaning it can be used from 0 - 13kgs, and also has a few other features such as a different belt installation which means that it can be installed to cars with shorter belts, it can be used for a longer time as rearfacing than most other car seats, the 5 point harness distributes pressure much better, the construction method used is a solid sandwich construction via a reinforced harder outer shell and a softer inner shell.

It is possible to use the Stokke® iZi Sleep™ with the the BeSafe ISOFix base for an ISOFix installation.
