How Paul Stride Will Keep You Safe...
Eagle-eyed customers may notice some significant changes to our shop at Monks Cross, York, not only do we hope these changes will benefit shopping experiences, we also hope that people can be reassured of the appropriate measures we have taken to keep our wonderful customers and our staff safe during personal appointments.
- Shop Reopening:
In order for us to open in the safest possible way we have laid out a number of steps to keep you and our team safe. We are now accepting appointments from 12th April 2021 onwards!
- Appointments:
From 21st September 2021 we will no longer be requiring appointments to be made. We are pleased to no longer feel that appointments are needed - and we hope that this is of benefit to our customers too. Please be aware that during busy periods we work on a first-come, first-served basis, so please give others space and allow some additional time to be served where possible. Thank you for your understanding!
- Socially Distanced:
By limiting the number of appointments we can ensure we meet social distancing requirements. We've placed large reminders around our store just in case you keep forgetting.
During busy times (like the weekend) each customer will be designated a "demonstration area" meaning we can keep you and our team safe.
- Group Avoidance:
To minimise the number of customers in the store we are limiting customers to just Mum & Dad to be for the time being. During less busy periods we may be able to accommodate 3 per party but this is dependent upon appointments in the store.
- Queuing:
As we will be opening for appointments only we will not be implementing a queuing system outside the store. We remind customers wishing to visit us to book an appointment before visiting the store.
- Hand Washing and PPE:
When you visit us we will supply hand sanitizer, gloves and masks as required. You are also welcome to visit us with your own supply. All we ask is that you don't touch anything until you've either sanitized your hands or put on some gloves. We are encouraging our team to wash their hands at regular intervals and after every interaction with others or items delivered in to the store.
- Toilets:
In the interests of all our pregnant ladies we have chosen not to close the toilet facilities. We are however asking customers ensure they wash their hands correctly, the toilets will then be cleaned for the next person.
- Car Seat Fittings:
We have taken the recent decision to begin fitting car seats into customer vehicles. For our staff to do this safely, we shall spray a sanitiser (safe for fabrics) into your vehicle and leave it for 5 minutes before we can then safely fit the car seat. There will now be a £10 charge for fitting the seats.
Alternatively, we will still offer a self-serve option whereby our staff will supervise and assist you from a safe distance, thereby helping you to learn the correct means of installing the car seat too.
- Cleaning:
We clean our store every morning before any appointments. We will also clean every item that has been touched or demonstrated. We will gladly clean an item before you touch it should you request.
We have conducted a thorough Risk Assessment for our shop to benefit our customers and our staff, and shall be reviewing things regularly too. If you would like a copy of our Risk Assessment, please do not hesitate to get in touch and contact us.
